Navin is a multidisciplinary practitioner – a Music Therapist (BMT), Yoga Teacher, Artist (Musician, Writer), and Mental Health Advocate. His life path has been shaped by personal and intergenerational experiences, leading him to a deep understanding of struggle and resilience. Navin is committed to helping others find healing and hope. He believes that even our deepest wounds can become sources of wisdom. His diverse experience in clinical, private practice, academic, and community settings makes him passionate about supporting others. His work is driven by a genuine desire to make a positive impact, spreading connection and reminding you that you are worth and deserving of experiencing wholeness.
The word “diya” (दीया in Hindi) refers to a traditional oil lamp used in India and other South Asian countries, especially during religious festivals and ceremonies. It's typically made from clay and fueled with oil (like mustard or ghee) with a cotton wick.
Navin offers an integrative counselling approach, drawing from diverse evidence-based therapeutic modalities and interventions to address grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and spiritual exploration. Together, you'll work collaboratively, co-creating within the therapeutic process, one where you both contribute to the unfolding of the journey. With deep personal interest in the transformative power of music and sound, Music Therapy has been a core component in Navin’s academic and professional life and is one of the ways he gives back in his work. As a Music Therapist (BMT), Navin has worked in both clinical and therapeutic environments in the healthcare system and in private practice sharing his work within community wellness events, retreats, workshops, and conferences. Navin perceives music and sound as a source of medicine, an ally that co-exists alongside us during this human experience, a tool not only for fostering creativity and imagination, but also for facilitating deep healing, restoration, and transformation
Navin is a certified Yoga Teacher with 250+ Hours of training experience from Arkaya Yoga in 2018. This is a practice rooted in traditional and classical Indian yoga that focuses on cultivating mindfulness by enhancing connection to not only one’s body and breath, but also to one’s heart, mind, and spirit. The practice of yoga has been a significant source of healing and restoration for Navin during this life journey, offering a sanctuary for inner growth and exploration, and he is passionate about offering this practice back to the world
